The Greatest Brownies Ever
Updated: Sep 23
Yesterday my husband said "I could go for a brownie".
After a failed attempt at a coconut flour brownie, I baked the most amazing grain free brownie ever.
Here's what you'll need:
1 cup nut butter of your choice
6 eggs
3/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 cup raw cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Here's what to do:
Grease a 9 X 13 glass baking dish.
Line the bottom of the dish with parchment paper and grease it again
Process all ingredients (except the dark chocolate chips) in the Vita Mix until smooth.
Add the chocolate chips.
Pour the mixture into the baking dish.
Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until knife come out clean.
Variations:
Add 1/2 cup of your favorite nuts.
Substitute 1 cup of sunflower butter for a nut free brownie.
Use 1 tablespoon of almond extract and omit vanilla extract for a chocolate almond brownie.
Add 1/2 cup of butterscotch, peanut butter or vanilla chips instead of chocolate chips.
Use 3/4 cup apple sauce instead of maple syrup.
Sprinkle top of brownie batter with crushed walnuts before baking.
Drizzle cooled brownies with carmel sauce and sprinkle with coarse sea salt for a salted carmel brownie.
Dust cooled brownies with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar.
Be in health.
